Hey all.. wow, what an amazing forum. Can't wait to continue to learn here. Below is my new setup. LFS has been amazing in helping me get setup. In addition to the equipment below, I am also starting with two clowns and a GSP.

Feedback, tips and gotchas welcomed. Thanks!

Looks like a good setup. My only suggestions:

1) some people may disagree but your heater could be a little bigger. It almost certainly fine, but a little below the wattage typically prescribed.

2) might want to add something for nutrient export (ie, phosphates and nitrates) into the setup

I second the previous comment and recommend a 200W heater, but a 150W could do well depending on where you live. Depending on how thick you want your sand bed you may need a little more sand. Otherwise, you have some top notch equipment.

Great start for me your most important purchase should be a rodi unit. Temp controller next an auto top off. These three things make reefing so much easier. Just go slow and enjoy the uglies for a while don’t get discouraged and become addicted like the rest of us

Thanks guys! I’ll post a pic here soon.

What do you recommend for a lighting schedule to start? I am running the radiant template now at 100%. Is that too intense? How many hours a day should the lights be on? Thx!

So this tank has a gravity ATO it seems. Interesting as it also came with an ATO pump. I guess that if I decide to go with a different water containment option?

Ok pics coming soon here..

For the lighting, I am running AB+ with 60% intensity. When I edit and play the schedule all looks good, lights ramp up\down , etc. However, when I choose resume schedule only one of the lights comes on.. Any ideas?
