Hey all. Been lurking around here for awhile just reading and learning as much as possible. I've always had fish tanks, my father and I had a reef tank and predictor tank when I was younger. It's crazy how all the technology and methods have really changed and evolved in this hobby. I enjoy learning new ways of doing and looking at things just as much as keeping a tank.

Well finally I'm doing well with my job and my house is basically complete so it's time to upgrade my 50gal tank to a 120, I know it's not a huge upgrade but it's going in my bedroom so it is big enough (for now).

Anyway, I'll will start a new bike thread once I get all my pictures organized. But wanted to say hi to everyone and thank everyone for the information.

Welcome, and a 120 is a great tank! I am planning an upgrade from 75 to 125 on one of mine soon. They are manageable without breaking the bank.

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Let’s see some tank pics of your new and old tank!

Also, keep us posted with the build with lots of photos :)

Hi Eco
I am new to R2R also and very much enjoying the people, comments and info.
I just upgraded from a 65 to a 90 Gal. Moving OUT of the bedroom and into a space between our kitchen and dining.
I just felt like I needed to offer my 2 cents. Putting my tank in the bedroom was a terrible decision for me. You just don’t realize how little time you can spend in a room that isn’t a “social” area. Plus, I always felt awkward letting ppl I didnt know well into my personal space to see the tank.
Just wanted to let you know my experience before you add the water! Good luck.

I appreciate the advise and the wife and I had the same thoughts, but as of now our plan is for the 120 in our room and when funds are allowing we are going to do a custom tank in our living room.
