Hi guys,

I recently took the plunge and got a hammer frag. I got it 5 days ago. It has opened a little by not like what I’m used to seeing. I known it can take a couple weeks for it to fully open, but I wanted to get your input. I also purchased a 500 gph circulation pump to improve the flow in my tank (Fluval Flex 32.5 g), but am not sure if I have it in the ideal place. I didn’t want to blast any of my fish away, so I put it in the back and aimed it towards the top corner. My hammer seems to be “dancing” like they suggest, but don’t want to mess anything up.

PH is at 8.0, Ammonia is at 0, Nitrites are around .5 ppm, Nitrates are around 5 ppm max, salinity is at 1.023, and temp is at 78 F. I turned up my white lights to provide better photos, but usually keep them lower at around 8%. My lighting specs are included in the photos below.

Please let me know your thoughts.

If you say its dancing or gently swaying, then its perfect.

To me it seems like a funny spot, kind of lonely there, and not much room to grow.

I really like your rockwork btw, its well done.

I would get it up onto one of the lower flatter rocks, to 'spotlight' it a bit more, as well as give it growing room.
