Hi Reefers,

I just got my first LPS, this little green-tipped hammer. I've had it about two days, and it doesn't look as plump or dense as it did in the store. It was looking much more wilted when I first put it in the tank. I turned the lights down a bit, and the tentacles appear to be plumping up just a bit. It's in a low/moderate flow zone. Typically, how long do new hammers take to get happy in their new environment? Does he look ok?

I agree. Looks fine. Euphillia can take a few days or longer to become fully happy, but I think it looks just fine
It got a little worse, looked more wilted. I went back to the LFS I got it from to see what the conditions were like in the tank it came from, and it was getting much stronger flow. I added an extra power head (nano sized) and now it's looking MUCH better after 3 days with better flow. The tentacles look much fuller.

Mine took about a full week before he really opened.
He'd been looking sad for a full 8-9 days before I added the extra flow. I was afraid he was gonna die. There was noticeable improvement after judt a couple of hours, and now he looks good :)
