Just bought a Hammer coral today and for some reason it has a thin white slime hanging on and it's also not opening my tank is 6 months old, I moved out all my corals out to a different tank so I'm starting over.Parameters 1.025 salinity Alk 11 Calcium 440 Magnesium 1358 phosphate 0.02 Nitrates 25 ppm

It’s mucus and associated with the new tank conditions. I assume you acclimated it for about 2 hrs?
Offer low light intensity being new and moderate water flow

With it being so new I would give it time do adjust

Hopefully within a few days

Alk of 11 is a bit high. Might be higher than it is used too.
I'd give it some time to adjust.

yeah I agree 11 dKh seems somewhat high, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you give it some time. A picture might help.

Hasn't changed overnight, I had a torch in my other tank and it did the same thing and faded away I'm worried about it tho, I don't have luck with Euphyilla corals 16092534501872259152758724088355.jpg

Try leaving it alone for a few days.
The mucous was a normal defensive mechanism, due to being moved. Nothing to worry about.

But it does look like there may be some tissue rescission in the last pics.

Alk of 11 seems high, so does your nitrates considering how low your phosphates are... What test kits are you using?

Typically euphyllia are easier to keep corals. The fact that you can't keep them points to some unknown issue in the tank. Maybe you could have an LFS test your water as a backup.

Locate it at lower third of tank under moderate light and water flow
Mine grow out of control under these conditions
