Hi Everyone!
My name is Pete and I have a problem, a reefing problem.
It all started about 5 yrs ago when my wife got a job at a distribution company, and somehow a 25g cube, canister filter, media, and stand showed up at our apartment. Our 500sqft apartment. I was literally two rooms and a bathroom. We set the tank up, cycled for two weeks, didnt test anything, then went and got two stubby clownfish. They made it, still have one of them! We lost the larger one to a power outage when we were away.
Anyway, we went from one 25g cube to adding in two 8g aqueon all in ones. Then to breaking down the all in ones and getting another 25g cube. This was in another apartment so we had some more room.
Then we got a house, moved the cubes, set up a 220g, got rid of one cube. Got a 20 long, transferred from the cube, got rid of the cubes, won a 29g set up. Set up the 29, built a sump, transferred the 20 long to the 29, set up the 20 long as frag tank. And thats where we are. A 220g in the kitchen, a 29g and 20 long in my office.
Here's some pics of the 29. I'll get some of the 220 later
Some Specs
29g Aqueon Tank and stand
DIY Wier style overflow
10g Sump with filter sock and Aquatop xyclone skimmer
Some Zoas, xenia, acan, favia, plating coral and others
Lights are 2x24in Current USA Loop System, with 2x660gph wavemakers. Don't know if I silled water on the light controller, but I cannot change any settings or do anything with them. The just run on the preset cycle.
I'm thinking of adding a second return pump and two more outlets, and get rip of the wavemakers. Thats on the to-do list along with get a background on there!
