Hello my name is Josh. I have a 75 gallon w/ 30 gallon refugium. I have had my tank for about 9 months. I purchased from a guy that had it set up already. Until two days ago I had 2 clownfish, 1 damsel and 100 lbs of live rock,(came with the tank) I have very little knowledge about how to do anything with maintaining the tank except water changes. A week ago my led light came in so I decided I would try to add something, went to LFS and ended up with 24lbs of live rock, three fish and two shrimp. 1 watchman goby w/ a pistol shrimp buddy, 1 harlequin to get rid of the endless little star fish, 1 lieutenant tang, and 1 6 line wrasse. They are small fish not grown, I was worried about adding so much at once, but the owner said it was ok because my tank was established. Two days later and I now have 60 nitrate, .6 ammonia, 7.5 ph, and .1 nitrite. Should have stuck with my gut and add one at a time. Was told the tang had to be added at the same time as whatever other fish I wanted in my tank or I couldn't put a tang. Have a few other problems like red cyano in my refugium, but I'm reading so I can figure out what to do next. Anyways hello.
