My Tank Thread
Unfortunately I don't have any good pics of him. Stupid me didn't really take pics of my tank back then....
The Marine Betta was the reason I got into the salt water hobby. I had a customer who had a 90 that I would visit on a monthly basis and he always had one. I always thought it was a beautiful fish. I started frequenting a LFS in Jacksonville, NC getting to know the owner and staff. The owner got me started and from there I was hooked.
He was very easy to care for and ate mainly frozen brine with the occasional ghost shrimp or feeder fish(maybe a couple/month).
He was the boss of the tank as no one would mess with him even the big damsel.
I miss having one in my tank and I am considering getting another sometime soon. I have been in the hobby for almost 25 years and have had 2 in that time. First one lived to be at least 4 before I had to sell him to a LFS because of a major move. The 2nd one was the one pictured above and he was about 5 when my tank crashed because of a stupid mistake. I almost gave up at that time. But I persevered and soldiered on to where my tank is now. Been about 3-4 years since then and tank is looking great for what it is. I need more rock but I like seeing the fish swim and don't like crowding them in with too much.
