Hi, I'm Joe and I've had saltwater aquariums off and on for 25 years. I had a job at an aquarium store as a teen and that launched me into this hobby. I've had everything from a 20 gallon tank, to my current 280 gallon tank. I started my current tank 2 years ago, upgrading from a 29 gallon. Prior to this tank, the largest I had was a 100 gallon. It started small, but has grown considerably (to my wife's dismay.) She lovingly refers to it as "the other woman" and my "girlfriend." I'm definitely OCD about it and addicted to this hobby. On a recent trip to Disney, I had a scheduled World Wide Coral visit. I have 3 kiddos, a 10 year old daughter, an almost 8 year old daughter and a 2.5 year old son (who is not reef safe.) Seriously though, he knows not to mess with my timers, but his friends, not so much.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the hobby and acquiring new pieces. I'm wanting to start a second tank soon, for my frags. I have a two tier rack in mine now, but it's growing and I'm needing more space. I have just about got the wife talked into allowing this ;) I'm including a couple of pictures of the tank and family.

Beautiful Tank!! And Welcome  How was the World Wide Corals visit or did you make it to their shop? I'm going to be in Florida this summer and am definitely stopping by there.

Joe welcome to R2R! Great family and tank!

It was great, I could've spent days in there... but I don't think the family would have been okay with that. After seeing some of what they had aside for the Cyber Monday Sale, I decided to wait to buy until then.

Hey there guys I am new to the hobby and to R2R... I am starting a 40 breeders tank I don't know what size to drill my tank for a overflow 1" or a 1 1/2"

Welcome to R2R!! Great looking tank and family!! :)

Welcome Joe, nice tank, and your family looks very happy.
