Just wanted to introduce myself, i'm new to the reef hobby (had a 55g FOWLR about 15 years ago). Just recently bought a RedSea Reefer 170 and am going through the cycle right now. Going to be keeping softies and other beginner coral for now, along with a few small fish. Only equipment so far besides the basics (RO unit, refractometer, test kits, etc.) are a ReefLED 50, Sicce 2.0 return and two Hydor Evo 600gph . About 40 lbs of dry rock, cycling from a piece of shrimp. Still deciding on a skimmer (or if i even will want/need one)

I'm sure i'll have questions as i move forward!
