Good evening this is my first day and post..purchased a lawnmower blemy last thur added to tank to help with algae,..after a few minutes he began rock work on algea...also was eating when I fed other fish...fast forward to this morning walked in and he had died..checked water and nitrate was 40 however all other fish were fine clown,red saddleback and niger trigger...could he have already been damaged..he was moving around great prior to this morning...

Is it a newer system ?
There could have been a lack of available food for the lawnmower blenny to eat.

Hi , Welcome to the reef...
Hopefully damage was the issue , any other symptoms arise on other fish

Well the system has been running for four years however I just relocated it from Texas to Atlanta transporting water and all about a month ago..my brother passed and wanted me to have the reef & fish mix tank 90gal. I haven't added and coral yet only live rock
