Hi everyone!
I am new around here but not new to saltwater. I have been keeping tanks for the better part of 2 years. I started with my first tank back in 2011 that I got for Christmas, it was a 24 gallon Cardiff bullet. Within 6 months I wanted to go bigger....
I decided to upgrade to a 75 gallon with a 30 gallon sump and have had it ever since! It has been through a lot, I have had my highs and lows with it as everyone does!
Let's start with some tank specs:
75 gallon Aqueon corner overflow
Roughly 70-80 pounds of live rock
1 Vortech MP10
1 Jebao wp20
300 watt Aqueon heater
60 lbs live sand
2 120 Chinese led fixtures (one decided to not work after only 1.5 years...figure. Won't do that again)
New 6 bulb t5 fixture will be here Friday!
Reef octo NWB 150 I believe?
Refugium with macro algae and mangroves
Livestock:
1 Buckshot clown
1 Royal grama
1 Vermiculite leopard wrasse
1 Scooter blenny
1 Purple fire fish
1 Tailspot blenny
2 blue chromises
1 Randal goby shrimp pair
Will be getting a CBB to help me with my aptasia (one of my dream fish too) just waiting for my lfs to get one in that's eating frozen
Mixed reef with various soft, sps, lps and nps corals.
I belong to the Twin Cities Marine Aquarium Society here in Minnesota! That's what brought me here, hearing everyone talk about how great reef 2 reef was!
I can't wait to dive deeper into this hobby and learn more and I'm glad I can do it here!
Thanks for reading!
