I am currently running two reef tanks. So first one is a simple innovative marine 30 nuvo. I'm running the hydor nano slim skim. With a dimmable led fixture (not sure on the brand). I have 2 lbs black hawaiian sand and 20 lbs of the brs reef saver dry rock.

One false black percula clown (male)
Pink spot watchmen goby

2x 95 w power compact actinic

2x wp25s
2x 800 gph sunsuns

I've been in the hobby for 2 years. Since I've started I've used api test kits and have been battling nitrates from day one. It got to the point to where I was just comfortable with it since my corals were looking good. But I had that itch to go full sps or mostly sps. Havnt been able to keep much but have only tried a birds nest and sum unknown acro. Did last long. Last week I decided to get a salifert nitrate test. Long behold this tells me 10 to 25 ppm compared to the api 80 to 160. So here I am unsure which to believe. I would love to have that perfect system hence the reason for biopellets, microbacter7, cheato, and mangroves. I do 20 gallon a week water changes. This last week I did one everyday for 4 days and according to my api test it barely made a dent in my nitrates. So anyways this is my story so far. Glad I found this app. The other forum I was on I couldn't post on anymore.

Thanks. I've actually started thinking about building it up more. And I kinda wana do a big arch in the middle

Just did a quick search of this nopox. Looks like the reviews are pretty good so far. At the moment I'm gona run with what I'm doing and see how that works out. Having a new test kit that's measuring low traces of nitrates makes me feel better. How ever I'm still in the process of finding the root cause and tackling it head on. For a while I just assumed I had a heavy bio load, but after sitting down and doing the math I'm only at/around 20 inchs of total fish in a 100 gallons. So now I'm thinking I'm feeding way to much. I use to just break off a chunk (blender mush) and just throw it in. This past 2 weeks I went with a lil advise Mr saltwater tank had. Using a condiment container for adding food. This let's me squirt little portions at a time. I will be doing 20 gallons water changes weekly and trying to clean up my sand bed more (1" crushed coral). While dosing the microbacter7 and biopellets. I don't want to do to much at one time and end up shocking the system or not knowing which process worked to fix the issue.

I've decided to go ahead and pick up a bottle of the nopox it will arrive in a few days. I can get my nitrates to about 20 but doesn't seem like it goes lower. Maybe I'm just interpreting the teat wrong, but from what I've read most test will tell you if you have it or not. So I will give the nopox a try and see if it helps out

its awsome. if thst aint strong enough discontinue and get phosphate reactrr

Looking good! Welcome!
