Hi everybody, i'm new to the aquarium hobby. My wife and I bought our first tank on July 4 this year and we are now on our second tank. We started with a 55 gallon, and now have a 90 gallon, and a 30 gallon qt. We have a dying anemone (didnt know to wait 6 mo. or more til after it was dying... but that was my fault for impulse buying... but), 2 clowns, cleaner wrasse, mandarin goby, naso tang, foxface, firefish, kole tang, starry blenny, 2 serpent stars, orchid dottyback and I think thats it. So, thats my introduction. Hope to learn alot here, as I have alot to learn. I have some LPS and couple softies too.

Welcome to R2R, we are happy you joined. Please feel free to post pics

Thanks Missy!

Here are some tank pics.

Maybe somebody can help with this anemone.... I try to feed it as I know that is its only hope to survive, but it won't usually eat, or when it does, it spits it back out.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! This is a great site to learn from. Your nem looks pretty bad off and I'm not sure there's much you can do for it. Make sure you don't let it die in your tank because if it does, it can release toxins into the tank and cause some bad problems. Maybe try posting in the anemone section of the forums and see if anyone can help you. I'm not a nem expert but we have some very knowledgable people here to help you. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Yeah, I fig. the nem was toast, but i'm clinging on to hope :squigglemouth:, but I did put it in a breeder box so the shrimp won't steal its food, and I can easily remove it if need be. I think I will make a post tomorrow in the anemone section to see if there is anything I can do. Thanks for that Mallorie.

I thought I would add a quick update that the anemone is recovering! She eats a piece of krill every other day is growing lots of tentacles and beginning to regrow some zooxanthellae!

Here is an update on the nem. I put her in my main tank with 300 watts of LED and now she is THRIVING!!! It's so exciting because at one point she had NO tentacles!!
