I’m Lexi, I’ve been reading the forums for a while and finally joined so wanted to say hi . I’m just getting back into saltwater after a probably 10 year break. Getting started with a 40g breeder to get back in the swing of things and relearn everything. In the next few years plan on doing 2 very large built in style tanks on each of my entryway walls to replace the 2 built in glass shelves/tables.

Hello Lexi, welcome to R2R and back to Saltwater!! :)

All the new things to learn about since you took your break. Let us know when you would like help.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!

40 breeder is an awesome size! What kind of fish or coral are you planning?
I was tempted to go much bigger but so glad I didn’t! The 40g breeder was the perfect size to get back into saltwater. Think I would’ve been overwhelmed with anything bigger lol. I’ll probably upgrade too 100g next year.

I love anything with movement as far a corals. Love the pulsing xenias, so got a frag last week at my lfs. It’s doing amazing and love the way it flows in the water. Just won these beauties from wwc on eBay. Missed a few I was bidding on bc I forgot about them lol almost lost the long star and remembered and checked and it was down to the last 25secs . For fish I have 2 black clowns and my daughter begged me for a damsel. He’s been nice to the clowns so no issues so far with it. Idk what fish I plan to get really. I’ll have to do tons of research bc it seems all the very colorful ones I love eat coral or are aggressive .

Glad to see you! Enjoy your new tanks!

Let's see that damsel! They get a bad rap sometimes. My son's is a big baby.
My daughter named it princess Goldie . It is kind of a pearl color with a hint of yellow splash along the head. Was just listed as an assorted damsel at petco. It stole the anemone for the clowns though. Plan on getting BTA for them.
