New impeller or new.pump?

So i ran my aquavitro salinity on the low end of the water level. Meaning the minimum.
Friday night I came home early from work with new corals.
After placing the coral I look over and my skimmer is all water no bubbles. Well no fine bubbles. All big giant air bubbles.

After removal of the pump. Swapping pumps. Swapping venturis. Swapping impellers.
I notice the end of the shift on the bump housing side has a chip out of it. Or a sheared off end piece. Would this justify a new impeller or whole new pump?

I have since gotten it back up and running but with a sicce 600 impeller from another pump.

You may be able to get just the shaft only from manufacturer. If it an assembly, worth buying a new impeller

The impeller and actual magnet and shaft i haven't tried to take apart no... hmmm even a cheaper fix i like.

Guess I'll try and pull it apart tonight and swap shafts lol. The shift length looked the same from what I saw last night.

Would that small of a defect effect the pumps performance that much?! I mean I think thats the problem but I'm not 100% and am on the side of just ordering a whole new pump and impellar. Lol. Sure it won't be the teal and white like the aquavitro skimmer but will be the exact same pump. Should I get the 1200?!

Did I miss what skimmer? I am having a hard time picturing the missing/broken part.

Sounds like only a new impeller is needed.

Basically the end of the shift on the magnet side has a sliver of the end sheared off. When I dial down the air the pump and impeller works but when I open up the air the pump starts to spudder and the pump almost skips like the impeller isn't lined up. Lol. Its a mess. I think an impeller is all I need too.

Silly question I know but... is the rubber bushing still on both ends of the impeller?

Ya! The rubber is built into the housing both on the pump side and the cover push side.
