Any idea what these are? Some have the reddish/ pink base and some are just the white/ clear tentacles. Also, we just added our first coral. Does it look like it is doing well? When we got it, it seemed to stand taller and be less droopy. Thanks!

Thanks! We’ve been trying to find bumblebee snails for the Vermetid snails, but no where around here has them :( The little tentacle things are what I was wondering what they are! They seemed to pop up after we added the coral. From what I’ve read, some people say ball anemones are okay and others say not. Any opinions? I looked up more pictures and I think they are ball anemones as well.

I’ve seen bumblebee snails on Live Aquaria. Do they eat vermetids? That would be good to know.

I’ve never had ball anemones, I’m not sure of their invasive ness. I would imagine it’s less than aiptasia or majanos.

I’ve seen bumblebees will eat vermetids, but sounds like it may be hit or miss. We live in Minnesota so we have *finally* started to see temps in the 40s, but I’m concerned about ordering anything online until it gets warmer here.

From what I’ve read they are less invasive, but some people said they can eat snails/small fish. We did recently have a snail die, but I assumed it was normal die off.

ball tip anemone. They really arnt an anemone but corynactis. Some say they are bad the ones I have don't seem to bother anything so I leave them.
