Hi, sorry if my English is not good enough, as I am from Spain sometimes is difficult for me to express myself properly.

I had a 200 liters tank 3 years ago and I upgraded to a Red sea Penninsula 650 last year, this are the charachteristics of my tank:
- 4 Hydra 26 lights
- Skimmer Buble Magus 850D
- Chiller Teko TK 100
- 2 x Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105
- Aquamedic runner 9.1
- Profilux 4
- UV lamp 18W Sunsun
- Barebutton

Living things:
- Blue Linckia
- Mespilla globulus
- Echinothrix Calamaris
- 2 x amphiprion clarkii
- Siganus Doliatus
- 4 x Pseudanthias Kashiwae
- 5 x Sphaeramia Nematoptera
- blue tang
- Ctenochaetus Strigosus
- 2 x lysmathas
- Siganus Vulpinus
- a big heteractis magnifica
- some zoanthus and soft corals

Sorry i do not know the name in English for them, this is the why I use the latin name.

Actual chimichal status is: (Aquaforest products)

Alkalinity: 9,8
Calcium: 430
Magnesium: 1380 - 1400
Phosphates: 0 ( hanna checker)
Nitrates: 22
Salinity: 1.025

As you can imagine, nitrates are driving me crazy, as I have some algae, I imagine they are keeping phosphates and my bacteria can not reduce nitrates because I do not have phosphates, as I do not want to increase phosphates, I am triyng to kill algae with Vibrant and them, I will see what I do when i do the phosphate test.

I am fighting against green algae, Aiptasia and buble algae now.

This are some photos of my tank I am also cultivating phitoolankton and copepods...

Thank you for reading all this, as it is a long thread.;)

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Beautiful tank, thanks for sharing! :)

Welcome to R2R!

Don't worry about apologizing for your English as we have plenty of native speakers who don't quite understand how to speak/write the language.

That's a nice set up, make sure to start a build thread so we can see the tank as it gets new additions and evolves.

Thank you guys, nice to hear from you. Itried to add bacteria or carbonate food for the bacteria, but it did not work, I think the ptoblem I have is the phosphates are not balance with my nitrates, so I will try to exterminate algae first and them if phosphates are still so low and I can not reduce nitrates I will see if I can add some phosphates, I want to star adding sps corals in the tank, but I rather reduce nitrates first, hahaha my plan against algae, we will see if it works..
