So I fired up the tank tonight after adding live rock to my base rock and a few hours into I see a baby brittle star moving ever so slowly across the substrate. My question is will he die because of the incoming ammonia and nitrite spikes? I did everything I could to speed up the cycle. I went to my LFS and got a bag a their sand and added some live rock with plenty of life on it.
