Hello everyone. I have been following R2R for a while but realized I never introduced myself.
I have been on the saltwater side of the aquarium hobby for a little over two years now after starting with aquaponic systems.
I have a 125 with dual overflows, 3 MarsAqua 165W fixtures, Eshopps R-300 sump/fuge, Red Sea C-Skim 1800 protein skimmer, and an AquaFX Blue Tang reactor (PhosBlaster). I have 2 Gyre 150 for my powerheads.
Livestock includes a pair of Green Spot Mandarins, Yellow Assessor, Midas Blenny, Striped Blenny, Leopard Wrasse, 2 clown gobies, and a royal gramma.
CUC has a coral banded shrimp, skunk cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp, a few emerald crabs, a couple urchins, limpits, nerite snails, chestnut snails, nassarius snails, and strawberry and Caribbean conchs.
Corals include a Purple Ribbon Gorgonian, green torch, hammer, zoas, palys, acans, ricordea and some other mushrooms.
I also have 3 rock flower anemones and a few macros: Red Grape Caulerpa, Dragons Breath, Red Pom Poms and another 2 unidentified red macros that came in on some live rock (they grow like crazy and look awesome).
I culture Nannochloropsis and Isochrysis phytoplankton to keep a healthy pod population. I will soon venture into culturing pods, mainly interested in apocyclops and parvo pods.
I plan on learning how to some breeding of marine fish as well.
My wife has a 60 gallon cube for her seahorses, she has Erectus, Barbouri, and Kuda in that tank. She also has a 15 gallon running for seahorses as well.
I use a 40 Breeder with simple T8 lighting for my QT.
So there it is. The brief introduction to my saltwater obsession.
