Hello everyone, I am new to saltwater tanks and i bought a JBJ 45 gallon aquarium a few weeks ago and it is currently cycling. I bought two different aftermarket return pumps, links below and both of them together make the back sump area water level extremely low, i have both of the pumps at half power too. What should I do? Is this normal? Should I just add more water? It has been cycling for 2 1/2 weeks now.

I originally bought this one for water changes only, but figured i would try it as my return pump first.

This one was running fairly well with the stock return pump, should I just use this one and the stock?

Any other advice would be awesome! Any tips/tricks for this aquarium is greatly appreciated

If it's more flow that the original, then it will drop, like that.

If it's holding the lowered water line in the back section steady, then add an auto top off system.

Fill it up with RO/DI, then re-check your salinity, but you really need something like the Tunze 3155.
