New Jebao SLW questions

Just got a Jebao SLW-10 for my IM Nuvo 10g. Question is do you have to use that rubber donut thing? The magnet on the outside of glass is sliding down & it holds much better without the rubber donut thing,

I do not use the rubber piece on mine. I tried using it to give the SLW an angle but it just isn’t well designed.

Interesting, I used it on my 10mm glass Waterbox 90.3 to get an angle and it worked fine?

It does work just very finicky, at least IMO.

I wasn’t even trying to angle it, just straight and the outside the tank magnet was slipping down. The suction cup was mostly holding the powerhead in place.
