New Lagoon Build

today i installed. 4 2 inch bulk heads for the drain

6 1 inch returns reduced to 3/4" in receive loc line fittings

built the sump and strted to prep the plumbing.

the to-do list is as follows.

build lighting rack
install liner
build coral racks.
plumping
run 220 for new chiller


and the list goes on from there but those are the things i need to put water into it. the goal is to have water started by sunday

Looking good. After you install the liner, you may want to create a "rail" that floats over the liner to provide an element of protection to the top of the liner. It's also good for resting your arms, tools on something other than the liner.

yes there is a 10 inch ledge running all around the reef. we are going to tile it and seal it up. also going to put bar type stools all around

So far this week i have finished lining the frame with 1" ply and 1/4 foam. i drilled otu all the bulk head and cut the liner to fit. i installed hald the bulk heads and will finish the other half tomorrow. After this I need to start filling with water so that I can start laying in the liner nice and neat. then i will cut it flush and install the arm/beer rails around the edge. then its on to the lighting.

I had these killer reflectors made by a local reefer. I feel he did an amazing job. I cant wait to hook them up.

thanks. i had seen them before so was was excited to get my own. BTW started water just a few min ago. only another week before its full lol

Today I

completed the return system

build the top of the tank

added a few more bulk heads for the drains

finished off the power station

started adding water. This is going to take FOREVER
