im going to switch lighting need help tank is 220gal 72-24-30inches
keep my aqua medic m80 ballast's and go with lumenarc mini reflectors or
go with aquactinic constellation 14 39watt t5 fixture what would you do? thanks

I'd personally go with the T5's, your tank height is not that high so it will be good..

I'd suggest an ATI 8x80w power module and deal with having a little less par on the sides, getting 80w retrofits and build a canopy, or do the 3x250w MHs. There really isn't a big advantage to any of them, so since you have the pendants and ballasts already why not just stick with MH? I really like T5's and have used them for years, but I also think they lose a lot of their advantages on tanks longer than 48". As for the Constellation, having to change out 14 bulbs is a little silly IMO.

30" not that high? I would go with MH.

T5's will have no problems penetrating a 30" tall tank... I was able to grow clams and SPS 24" below the surface using 39w T5's, and I have little doubt it could be done at 30" as well. At the very least, all but the highest light demanding corals could be kept...
