New Lightning Pair and my BTA

Nothing really needed just wanted to share my midnight lightning pair (the male since i couldn't get them both in one picture) and my BTA! The nem was added Tuesday, moved from where i had it to in the picture, and yesterday was almost completely out of the rock work and seemed to be enjoying itself.

I'm excited to see how much more it has come out when i get home from work today.

For reference, I lost it Tuesday after I put it in and went back to work (did this on lunch). Couldn't find it. Wednesday, it was here. Yesterday was the first picture. So I feel like it's doing pretty well!!

Just fyi if the ocellaris is still in tank it probably won't mix well w/ the lightning pair.

I think they should be fine, there is a pair of Ocellaris (the other was out of frame and i wasn't really trying to capture anything in that picture, just testing out a lens), and the lightning pair. at least i'm hoping they will be fine. There wasn't any aggression last night, but i will definitely keep an eye on them!!

Usually multiple clown pairs come w/ issues, and maroons are especially territorial, just giving a heads up, good luck w/ that.

Maroons are a natural and better suited match for BTA though, I'd expect to see them in it very quickly, as opposed to occs which often ignore BTA

Thank you! If all else fails and there is aggression i'll take the Occs back to my LFS for some credit. I didn't really want them to begin with but the wife had to have nemo.. Hopefully the maroons take up to the BTA and that can be their spot while the Occs continue to host my scrapper... Weird animals.

Hoping to add a BTA soon for my maroons.

My lighting is hosted by the corner glass of my tank and my gold nugget is just digging a gigantic pit in the rear of the tank lol. Hoping the nem will help these weirdos act more natural

Funny your scraper hosts them. Mine attack my scraper but guess that's better than attacking me or other fish lol

I bought that one from Unique. I'm super pleased with it. it 39.99 for 2-3 inches. And i feel like it is way bigger than that. The picture only shows half of it really, I'll snap another picture when i go home for lunch if it's out. It looked sad for the first little bit, but obviously it's doing fine now

and yeah it freaked me out the first couple of days because i leave my scraper at the water level so i came out and saw them floating and thought they died. i poked them with my finger and they reacted so i just figured whatever, you do you haha.

Ya looks like a nice piece. I have a local member that has a rainbow BTA for me just haven't gotten a chance to grab it yet

Yeah, i was nervous at first, but i am constantly monitoring everything with my Apex and SenEye. they are open 24/7 on my desktop at work And i still test quite a bit, i dosed a bunch of Vitrifying bacteria the first 2 weeks and the red sea feed for them, and have monitored. If i see something starting to look off i will definitely reach out to someone to hotel for a while.

Didn't plan on maroons but when we saw the gold nugget we fell in love with it. Thet were super pricey a few years ago but now now so much. Eventually all the white will turn to yellow

That's kind of unfortunate, i like the white but the yellow doesn't look bad at all.

Ya white would be cool too. Looking forward to watching them grow. Got them really tiny back in June after my cycle. Was at the LFS the other day and the guy had a monster gold stripe in there.
