well... at least new to me.

these are the lights that Bill used to have on his tank. when I got it, it was a single unit. I have split it apart and it is now two units that are 27" long x 16" wide. I plan to add another dozen LED's to one on the right to make them even. Total will be 118 LED's for my 180.

I have also added some plexi shields to keep them from getting splashed in my hood as they will be about 8" above the water surface. one other cool thing I did to them are the 4 horizontal bars you see. those are acrually flush drawer sliders that will allow me to simply slide the lights out of the front of my canopy for easy cleaning and maintenance. they can easily be fully removed for more intensive repairs and offer me complete front to back adjustability in my 24" wide canopy.

Nice mod! I'm sure you are going to be happy with them. Especially the shimmer!

yea, I cannot wait to get them installed but I have to wait for my controller and the other LED's to come in.

I'm sure you will love your electric bill along with the lights too! They worked very well for me when i had them and you will love the shimmer just like halides.

I am getting an ALC to go with my reefkeeper. while they dont work all that well with the Meanwell ballasts, this thing only has one Meanwell dimmable one and the rest are from Thomas Research Products so it will dim them just fine.
