Is it normal for new algea to grow after changing lights? I'm currently on day 1 of acclimation with 2x hydra 26s and I'm getting green algea growing on the back wall.
Will this eventually go once the tank is used to the new lighting?

Generally, for best results dial your new lights down to the level where your old lights were.

Dial down the white and red leds (if you have that much control) to about 1/3rd of what your blue leds are.

If the algae persists, you can go all blue for many days (I've done 2 weeks) and your corals will still open and fluoresce while your algae will die off. The down side is if you haven't fixed the imbalance that caused the algae to grow in the first place, it will start to grow again.
