New, lost, Overwhelmed and Excited.

Welcome to the party! You're going to be surprised about what we're going to say about tank size. We're almost all going to say go as big as you can for your space. The bigger the tank the less likely you are to have crazy swings and its harder for things to happen quickly. A small tank problems build really quickly. 75 or 90 are both a good size. I would do a Sump if you possibly can. You can add supplements to your sump you can have a large skimmer in there and it keeps your display looking sleek and neat. Welcome to the hobby!

Thank you! I'm excited to get started, and really appreciate all the input I have received from this site! I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions as I move forward.

This place was made for questions. Theres sections on everything. From plumbing to fish to aquascaping and just general discussion. If you can't find the answer here it probably doesn't exist in the hobby. Have fun and if you have questions just ask!

I have scowered the interweb to find a good guide for a good tank. I would appreciate suggestions/advice. Reminder: I'm looking for a 75-90G tank w/sump. Is this something I should save for my LFS or does anyone have suggestions? I don't want bottom of the barrel and I don't want something that is going to run me $100,000,000 either. A good quality tank that will last a long time. I know I'm shooting for the stars but there has to be a balance somewhere between price and quality. Maybe it is already on here, but I haven't had any luck finding it.
