Had a pair of mandarins and a fork tail blenny delivered yesterday from Biota. I saw a mandarin fish in a tank twenty years ago...it’s what got me in this hobby to begin with...but never had the setup that I thought they would thrive in. And there was no captive breeding back then.
They‘re only maybe 3/4” long in a 70 gallon tank, but they’re bright and perky this morning and absolutely adorable, couldn’t be more pleased :). I’ve spent the last hour watching them explore.

Thanks Biota! @Biota_Marine

I've had one for over a year now. They're definitely a beautiful fish.

They're easy as long as you have a good pod population. Mine spends all day eating

Tank has been up and running 6 months now. I’ve stocked it multiple times with pods, I have a pretty good population at this point. I see them at night crawling all around. It’s an AIO tank with the ‘sump’ in the back, should be a bunch back there as well. They were both picking at the tiny pellets I put in this morning, so I’m hopeful. The forktail blenny is pretty darn cute too, he wouldn’t sit still for a pic though...
