But I can't seem to keep my water height in the skimmer neck in my sump the water height is 8in
I've been playing with this skimmer for some time now.
The brain might not like the Alk if it came from a lower level. It could also not like the placement in your tank. Flow or light could be an issue.
I had the bigger version of this skimmer on my 125g. It was very sensitive to water height. I am assuming you have an ATO and the chamebr your skimmer is in does not vary. Other than that, I have no more info on that skimmer

@Kevin G Welcome to R2R!!!

Tank looks nice. On your coral, GFO and the bright light may be the issue. What are your parameters?
Reduce white, increase blue and remove or reduce amount of GFO. Salinity range 1.025-1.026 with temp of 77-78 deg. Water movement moderate. See how these adjustments fare for you

A 90 gallon tank is a fantastic size -- there is so much you can do with it. You will soon learn that this is the friendliest and most helpful reef forum out there. (I might be biased, but I believe it.) Welcome to R2R!
