Hey guys first post, and just wanted to say hey and thanks for letting me
Join the forum. I'lllet u know a little about myself ... I've been reefing since the new year and when I purchased my rock from someone who was moving the California from Canada and couldn't take it with him he had given me a bunch of coral... I have rearranged my tank to make my rock more secure cause i was gettinf turbo snails and moved my bubble coral to the sand bed and he has changed shape and since then my torch coral has shrunken in but is in the same place... My levels were and are since the 9th of jan now ph of 8.0 and 0 across the board any ideas?

This is where my bubble was when I first places it..

Thanks in advance for the help

ph is a lil low might want it like 8.3 imo but what is your calcium and alk? (btw welcome to R2R!)

The tank odly never ha any spikes in parameters which was unexpected... and the coral have been happy untill I rearranged my Rock and changed from cyclopeeze to mysis.

The rock was live when I bought it and was out of the water for about 20min drive from tank to tank and it came from a mature tank. I am also using live Sand for the bed

... Haven't tested for calcium or akl yet but was told that my local water has pretty stable alk levels... I need money to get the kits first...oddly my levels have been the same since the 9th

My first reaction is that your tank has just not been established long enough. I just don't think there is a way around "new tank syndrome". I would try get some hardier corals, if any, for the meantime and give your tank some time to mature. Its no fun watching an empty tank but its even worse watching everything you buy slowly die in front of you.

Most would advise against trying to manage pH. If you keep your alk, calcium and mag at good levels, your pH will follow. If it drops below 8 or so try opening a window or providing some more ventilation and it'll rise.

I havent paid for anything ... The guy was moving out of Canada and couldnt bring them with him and he said he was going to throw them out if I didn't take them so I took them. My chalice looks 10x better than when I got it and so does my hammer and my chili is doing very well aswell.

I plan on getting the appropriate testing kits as my money comes in as I am not on the higher end of the pay scale and am relatively young

Changed the flow and torch is much happier... And I will be getting another light soon maybe that will help the bubble out

I got a 24" glow t5 ho with a marine glow and life glo bulb...ya I lucked out huge... I started on canadian boxing day buying the tank,Live sand, salt, 250 echiem canister filter heater and 550gph fan or what ever it's called a week later got the rock and the free stuff and a couple days the roomie got me some zoas and yesterday I bought 2 damsels and a cleaner wrassle but the wrassle for some reason didn't make it more than 24 hours and all my levels are in order... Only thing is ph is 7.9 but that's not that bad so:s

And I am getting a second light the same next weekend or 2 weekends so I can do one with blue and one for white for dusk and dawn

Here are some more pics
