recently acquired a larger tank and am considering Salt / Reef system. plenty of time to plan it out as my family is house hunting for a bit more space. tank is 24 x 60x30 so about 125 gallons ?. plan on welding up a stand etc. have an old 55 gallon to use as a sump. new to salt water but have had freshwater tanks for 30 years. looking forward to the reef, like the idea of the living coral and less fish.

Welcome to R2R!!! Those dimensions equal 187g. Will probably be more like 180 since it won't be filled completely to the top.

Welcome to R2R hopefully you enjoy it here and that should make a beautiful reef. Can't wait to see pictures of it going together and running when you find a new home.
