Hi everyone,

Just want to say hello!
I am kinda new to the Hudson Valley area and just received my new tank! 110 Marine X.
I also worked at Petco Middletown for the past 2 months for the love of the hobby.
Maybe I've met some people here in person already.

Anyways, I need some dry rock for my new setup.
Where are best marine pet stores in the Hudson Valley area?
I only know of Petco's Middletown & Poughkeepsie.
(They only carry purple life rock)

I am also looking to buy used equipment,
I have a 75g that will be a backup / QT tank and a desktop nano for kicks.

My preferred store is Iconic Aquariums in Tenafly NJ. About an hour drive for me from the New Windsor area.

HVFNR sells Real Reef Rock by the box. That stuff is expensive though.

Honestly, it might make the most sense to order from BRS, if you are needing dry rock. Last time I ordered, I was practically able to hand pick exacly what I wanted. I have a bunch just soaking in a vat down in the basement, for future builds. With that said, I know Aquarium Solutions can order directly from them, if that is helpful for you. Live rock is getting harder to come by these days and dry rock can be tricky to start. Best of luck.
