I am in Owensboro, KY. I had a tank 2005-2009, looking to get back into reefing with a Red Sea Reefer G2+ (72 g) for a softie/lps setup. I am considering 2 Sicce Syncra Pro (550 gph) returns, one AI Blade 48”, an AquaMaxx FC120 protein skimmer, a 200w BRS titanium heater with 200w Jaeger backup on an Ink Bird controller, two Sicce Voyager Nano Stream power heads, dry rock, and CaribSea live sand. Looking for any advice about what I missed or I should consider? Thanks!

Find a reputable LFS with some cured pest free live rock and use it to see the rest of your dry rock. Will save you months of time. Also depending on the livestock you want to keep you might consider getting a less fine type of sand so you can have a lot of flow and less sand dunes and sand blowing all around your tank. I know Caribsea makes different grade sand sizes but dont know the names off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info, I have been visiting some lfs, but I live in a pretty small town so there are not many choices (1) and I have to drive at least an hour to have choices.
 
Hello again! I ordered a setup finally. Thank for the input. I ordered a Fiji Cube 81 gallon full package, 2 x 30” AI Blade grows, a 300w BRS heater, a Tunze 3155 ATO, Sicce Syncra Pro (1000 gph) return pump, and 2 Voyager 3 power heads. Looking forward to hearing from the reef2reefers for guidance!

Looking at the same tank. Its cheaper then IM 75 EXT and I personally like the sump better. Did you get the 15% they were having last week or did you pay the $2,299?

Paid the $2,299… timing did not work out. I did get discounts on other things instead so still saved some.

Hey I get it. Looking at previous sales it’s ether 10% or 15% off, I’m debating on waiting till Black Friday for $350 off ugh my patience is crap haha
Have you gotten a delivery date yet? Make a YouTube video I’ll give it at least a 100 views myself haha
