Been to a few of the other popular forums and while they are great, I'd like to try some others for variety and some quicker answers when I have them. Would also like to contribute some of my experiences to help new reefers.
I got into this hobby via a co-worker about four years ago. Started out with a 29 gal BioCube that I eventually installed a GlassH0L3s overflow box and made my own custom sump. Worked well for a few years, then the sump started leaking and I decided to take it down. Had a 75 freshwater tank that I converted to a FO salt tank with two Fluval 405s and then drilled that tank as well and did a custom sump. Finally got a DSA 105 rimless in March of this year and a fabulous eShopps R220 sump from my local LFS (Fishy Bizness) and love it! Bigger IS better. My sights are on a 250 gal + tank when the last kid moves out so I can have a dedicated "fish room"!
I enjoy the Facebook posts by this community which the others don't seem to do, so keep it up. Looking forward to some great posts!
