Hey guys, my name is jason and I am a reefaholic. they say admitting the problem is the 1st step. lol
In all seriousness, I wanted to introduce myself. Im new to this site. I used to have salt water tanks over 20 years ago. Im married to an air force major so its been difficult to stay in the hobby with our frequent moves. Finally we are at a point in her career that we will have 1 more duty station before she retires from the military. Luckily the next duty we are hoping will be in the are that we plan to stay.
Currently we are in Destin, Fl. I finally got a 75 gal reef ready tank setup and getting back into the hobby. SO MANY new things have changed yet stayed the same. Heck the last time I had a reef tank we didn't even have the internet! ha ha
So... my setup:
75 Gal reef ready glass tank
29 gal sump / refug
Skimz SM203 Skimmer
Reef Octopus Biochurn biopellet reactor
BRS carbon & GFO reactors
Jeabo DC9000 return pump
Apex / Neptune system w/ ph,temp,and salt probes
5 gal Autotop off container
Ecotech MP10 w
Ecotech MP40 w
2 Radion XR30 Pro's
1 Radion XR15 Pro
I use a RO/DI water source and store 32 gal HW-Marinemix salt water and a 10 gal fresh water for ATO
My reef is a mix of SPS and LPS its about 6mo old now.
Id love to know if there are any groups in the area like frag swaps and such..
