Hello my name is Sandy. Came here to gather some info. I tried a saltwater aquarium a few years ago. First one i had it crashed spent tons of money trying to save it. Then tried a second time with no coral just fish and spent over 5 grand trying to save that one. So all in all i spent over 10 grand trying to keep it up. Would love to try again as they are just gorgeous but want facts this time before i try

Welcome to R2R;)

A few tips without knowing any specifics of the issues you had in the past. 1) research everything. All fish and equipment purchases, tank planning, anything you are unsure of. 2) quarantine all fish at least 30 days before introducing them in the display tank 3) take it slow. Don't look at things as "how soon can I x y z" 4) think conservatively. Don't think what's the maximum number of fish I can have. Or can I get away with this undersized piece of equipment.

Thank you. Yes i think i went to fast lat time. Not knowing anything at all about doing a tank just wanted to get everything in quick

Welcome to R2R! As mentioned take it slow and let things come together. This is a hobby of patience for a tank of beauty. Read the stickies, read posts, ask questions! We are a friendly group that likes to help.
