Hi all. Kids won 2 goldfish at a carnival and before i knew it i was hooked into the aquarium life. Progressed into a cichlid enthusiast. Bred africans for a few years then went to South Americans and planted tanks. Then I went snorkeling on my honeymoon in hawaii and upon returning home told the wife is had to break down the tanks and switched over to the saltier side of life.

Currently running a 150 mixed reef after upgrading from a 55 that grew acros and montis like nobody's business but killed any zoa that I ever touched. I wanted to challenge myself and I guess I am "backwards progressing" because I sold off the stony corals and want to make this a primarily lps and zoa tank. Currently at the beginning stages of coral selection and placement

Welcome to the dark side
Thanks! Been at the dark side for 5 years now. Started reefing when I got back from honeymoon and I just celebrated my fifth anniversary. Started with a 38 gallon then jumped into the 55 a year later. Had that running for 4 years before I could get my big boy tank. Still have my first fish too. Cinnamon Clown that has been exiled to her own separate 20 long softie tank. I can't even put my hand in there without her going for blood. And I thought some of my Central Americans were mean
