I started keeping fish back in elementary school. I kept a small goldfish in a five-gallon tank, which received zero water changes until it died after four years. After that, I did not get back into fishkeeping until my senior year of high school. In short, I gave my teacher an orange cichlid in return for 5% on my grade during my sophomore year, and she ended giving me the entire tank during my senior year. This led me to set up an 80-gallon cichlid tank and a 40-gallon pleco tank. I got bored with fresh water because I was tired of looking at fish doing nothing. The most significant difference between keeping Freshwater and Saltwater, besides the salt, is the fact saltwater fish do more than swim around all day. If you look at saltwater fish, the majority of them play important and unique roles that keep the reefs balanced. Most of you probably know what I mean anyways. As of now, I'm working on double majoring in Accounting and Financing, but I also work at a fish store. And anybody who hangs around a fish store knows that it is very hard not to purchase the candy. I got hooked on this luxurious activity and bought a White Red Sea Reefer 170.
