So far I have 2 tiny clowns a lawn mower blenny 6 red leg hermits and I’m just going through the orange looking algae on the rocks and substrate faze ,how long does this normally take to pass should I vacuum it off the substrate or just leave it and the same with the live rock.
Thanks Guys

Welcome to Reef2Reef! The "algae" you are seeing are likely Diatoms and are part of the natural cycle of a new system, and are sometimes present in matured systems from time to time. For now you can leave it be and allow it to run its course. If you have nothing that needs light you can cut the photoperiod for a little while to help starve it off

Thanks guys for your replies and advice just one more quickie I have one of the seachem Amonia alerts in my tank are they reliable

I've got one and I love it. I've heard lots of good things from others too. It is excellent at keeping you aware of your ammonia levels at a glance.

Welcome!

Nice looking tank.
I've not had an issue with the Seachem badges, so long as they're fresh. Still would test with a dedicated ammonia kit if you have any reason to be suspicious.
