Welcome. Unfortunately brown comes with the territory. So does green and red at some point. It is the uglies we all hate. Just keep working with limiting excess nutrients (food) and blow off rocks and vacuum sand.

hi reefers

Just joined but been a lurcher for a little wile but have to amit a little green around the ears when it comes to reef keeping.

So hoping to pick up a lot of help and info

Been keeping fiah in general for about 15 years but started out in the salty side about a year ago and loving it if I can get my head around the differences

Thanks for the warm welcome

i hope I can learn a lot and pass it back later on when needed

So heres a few pic of the tank now

I'm not happy with afew of the aquipment in the setup so that's my next big purchase

But at the sec the specs are:

EA 1200S back fed no wier drain
1x ecotech radion rx30 gen3
2x TMC 2200 v2 return pumps
1x Tmc 300w heater
1x Blue Marine 400 chiller
2x Aquami KPM pumps
1x octo 110int skimmer Plus cheep pump rum on independent loop in sump.
1x AutoAqua awc for topups but will do water changes when I have time to sort it out.
1x duel temp controller for both heater and chiller
Started with 30kg approx dry rock
20kg dry fine grain coral sand

Fish wise

2x fire fish
1 sand sifting goby
2 clown fish
6 yellow tail damsels
1 juvenal emperor ( impulse buy should have really not i know but he was in a worse state at the lfs and now happy and I know he will need rehomeing when older)
1x emerald crab
2 x scarlet hermit crabs
1x starfish
Various snales but rarely see them.

Corals
1 x toadstool
1 x touch

You can see the prob.

Looking to upgrade a few bit in the next few months to

2 x ecotech mp40 pumps
2 x ecotech so return pumps

As not happy with the aquami's flow and the returns are bulky a pain to deal with.

And if the other half don't realise

GHL Profilux 4 mega set
Kh director ( undecided as yet )
Ion director ( again not sure yet )

Because I'm terrible at reading test kits right
And spend quite a few weeks / weekends away with work plus a bit of tech nut at times
