Hi all, Just joined the Group and saying hi to all members, I,m from the U.K 72 and have just re-started a Marine Aquarium after being absent from the hobby for a number of years.
My last tank was over 12 years ago when l kept a 6ft. tank quite successfully for many a year. after retiring 10 years ago l moved from Lancashire to Cheshire and took life easy, but started to miss the pleasure l received from Marine Keeping so l have decided to start again. My place now is not big enough for the size of tank l once had so have to settle on a 4ftX2ftX18inches deep. at the moment l am 2 weeks into seeding the filters and test results are very favourable, so hopefully not to long before adding livestock. l have to admit that some of the new equipment (lights, etc) can be a little puzzling but l am reading on the new stuff and l will get it right for me in the end l,m sure. so will not bore you with any more from me at the moment, certainly look forward to speaking to many of you, so take Care chow for now
Al.

Hi Al and Welcome back to hobby! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
