New Midas blenny, very stressed out

Hey guys, picked up my 2nd Midas blenny today hopefully this one works out. My first one was bullied by an engineer goby and decided to buy it again because I really like them. Params are great, but he looks very mad and isn’t really moving. I just fed my corals and it looked as if he had no interest in my hand passing by and also he’s very splotchy black. At the fish store he was yellow, happy, etc. been around 4 hours since he’s been in tank

Ok cool. Wasn’t able to drip this guy, my drip line magically disappeared somehow. Had him temp acclimate and dumped a bit of water in his bucket every 5 minutes

That's how new fish often act. Changing colors/patterns is a fairly typical blenny stress response. Turn out the lights and leave him alone. No cause for concern unless he doesn't show interest in food for a couple of days.

Temp acclimation and the ol' dump-some-water-in thing works fine for all but the most sensitive invertebrates. Should only be done with fish bought in person, though. With shipped fish, the priority is to get them out of the shipping water as fast as possible.
(Edit: unless there's a significant salinity difference. That can be a problem in both cases.)

Yeah, I was hoping I’d get that answer that he’s just p*ssed off or scared. Hopefully he gets better within a couple days, last Midas swam all day and always up to the tank whenever I was feeding within 3 days of him in there

I have one that has been brown ever since I put him in the DT. He was beautiful yellow when we got him and while he QT’d. I read that it is probably because we have a bi color as well and the Midas has changed to mirror. Been in the tank since February.
