So I bought a new coral yesterday. A green millepora from aquaSD. Picked it up at the store. I didn’t notice in the store or when it first got here but today I am seeing the bottoms of the branches have these bald spots on them. It doesn’t really look like tissue loss and AEFW usually leaves more patchy areas from what I’ve seen online but I can’t tell. It is more brown than white. What do you guys think? The last picture is an Acro that I’ve had in the tank for about two weeks and have seen great coloration and growth from already that is sitting two inches to the left of the new Mille
Salinity 1.025
Ca 450
Alk 8.0
Mag 1400
Nitrate 0-5 (api)
Not sure of phosphates. Hannah ulr is on my wish list
Temp 82 (its hot in San Diego)
Reefbreaders lights maxed at 75-80% blues and 30% whites
High alternating flow from Koralia pumps and controller.
I feed reef frenzy and 2mL acropower daily
Tank is 8 months old

For reference, on the pink acro, all of the encrusted part grew in the last two weeks

I am not too sure, but it might be due to shadowing.

That’s kind of what I was thinking too. I know it’s too early really to be trouble shooting it but figured it was worth a shot if someone had seen something like it. I just hope it’s not AEFW. Even if it is though I only have 3 acros and that would be pretty easy to do a weekly dip on them. Plus my six line might have them for dinner

Looks like it may have been in contact with another coral b4 it was fragged.
