I had my eye on that for a while, glad to see that they are making great progress. Price point went above what they projected, but I'm sure we will see them pop up in tanks around here shortly.

Not thrilled about the high upfront cost. The 35/month is reasonable as it checks 10 parameters over just three and that subscription also covers the online services. I’m hopeful that the price will come down once it’s out and readily available.

They have 4 years of development costs (plus all the overhead during that time) to recoup plus make their financial backers happy. I wouldn't expect a price cut any time soon.

Agreed, not very confidence inspiring. If they are still around in a year or so I'll probably get one

Hope the price point goes down. It might be worth while for mindstream to take a loss on the main unit to get regular recurring revenues, like razors and blades. And a price reduction might increase sales significant and make more money than high prices.
Agreed, but they don't need to make that 7mil back in a single quarter.
I'm just glad that as the days, weeks, months go by, there are more options out there. And with that, we should see competitive pricing...
Although there will be a fair share of "pulpit pounding" from biased folks with skin in the game (so to speak) trying to make their brand of automated tester the hands down best.
I just hope that consumers will be objective and see those people for what they are.
For me, I look at it like this: more options mean more competition, more competition means lower pricing. And hopefully we will see more folks with automated testers providing better results than manual testing.
Here's to hoping that no single tester stands out above the rest!

I’ve been following this product for years. Didn’t back their kickstarter but was definitely interested to see how it would come to fruition. I’m interested in seeing what becomes of it. However I’ll definitely wait it out before I purchase one.
