New montipora frags turning brown

So my phosphate keep going up and down so im trwating it with seaclear drip and some gfo every so often. my question is are tge corals brown because i need to put them in higher light or is something else wrong. i have then in tge middele rack of a 40 gallobn breeder.

Get that no3 up some. Here is a monti cap I have with undetectable no3 and a few weeks later after just getting detectable, 0.25 ppm red sea test.

Yes i think i dosed to much no pox trying to get phosphate down

It can also be just from switching environments. Give it a few weeks for the montis to adjust to your lighting and chemistry.

Yes i thought that alsio i tried to increase my nitrate a little That will help balance it out

No not dead at all. The pics got switched around the top pic is after increasing no3 from 0.00 to 0.25 the first pic is about 2-3 weeks prior. It was green when I got it then it lost its color, I increased no3 by feeding more and it slowly got color back over a few weeks. Pics from when I got it, after it browned out, as it regained color and how it looks now.

Okay, I see.

To OP, I suspect your high po4 and low no3 has something to do with it. I don't think you've mentioned what lighting you're using. I would stop nopox dosing, it's essentially carbon dosing which requires no3 to work.

I am using a sb light 32 ramp. I have my nitrates around 20 ppm lets see if it helps

Im not sure but i know po4 is leeching drom my rocks i just ordered rowaphos wish me luck
