New mp40 and tips receeding?

Since adding a second MP40 I have noticed white tips on my acros and little to no growth. I have been racking my brain testing EVERYTHING lowering the intensity of my lights,using poly pads,cutting the light cycle to less hours,throwing my used salt out and buying new salt,throwing out my wifes automatic air freshner even though its in a different room and I went back in my head and the corals seemed to start losing the tips when I added the MP40. Anyone know if this can be the case. The 2 mp40s are in a 180 gallon 6ft tank. I have the flow up to 100 percent synced. I had 1 MP40 and 1 MP20 before the addition to the new MP40. Again they were both on 100 percent but not synced

Sometimes white tips means growth and if it's not growth I don't think it's the mp40's fault I run two in my 75g packed with sps at 80% max sync with random flow only time I see white tips is when some of the sps are growing not all sps do the same.

No def not growth tips. I know what that looks like Its even growing algae where the tips have turned

It could be the MP if the acros are in it's direct path and located in close proximity to the MP. In this case, you could be literally blowing the tissue off.

I have only mili that for some reason likest to keep growing toward my mp40 and the side facing the pump gets the skin blown off. It is NOT while though, its very dark and you can see that there are no polyps/tissue there. yet it keeps growing that way even if I cut it...so I figured let it grow. I'd check alk and watch for alk swings, thats caused white tips for me before. Hope this helps.

I test my alk every 3 days and its steady as a rock at 8.9. I have a cal reactor going. I cant figure it out my corals are looking like poo. My next step is removing my 2 emerald crabs. I dont add anything but food and water to the tank. IM GOING NUTS LOL

Are the white tips everywhere in the tank or just around the new mp40?

No its on acros,birdsnests,digis I can not for the life of me figure it out Its all over the tank. My Alk is stable,temps are stable lowered the intensity of lights and photo period,salinity is stable at 1.025. IDK

Just looked at my tank and I can see skin from my neon birdsnest floating around. Never before has this ever happened to me At least when I had AEFW I knew what to do this is just crazy

Have you tested for strag voltage?

If you think it is the extra mp why don't you try turning them down and see if that helps.

Been their before accidentally got a chemical from work in my tank all my sps died. Now if I work on valves I wear big thick gloves and wash my hands
