New nano frag tank budget build

Helped a local reefer setup a tank and got this acrylic tank for free.

Built a 2x4 stand that me and my 6yr old boy painted

Drilled and installed 1" drain and 1/2" return line. Hooked up to a 600 gal/hr rio pump and a 10 gallon sump I had laying around.

Didn't have a pump big enough to run make shift skimmer so I bought a SCA-301 for $80 off eBay.

Installed a 400w metal halide with XM 20k lamps That came off my display when I changed to LEDs. Tank has maintained 80 degrees for 5 days in a row. Was a little worried light would boil this tank.

Tank has already been cycled with live-rock from main display. Post a video of skimmer once I figure out how to do it. This little thing rocks!

bad case of dino outbreak! scrubbed it out and running carbon and GFO going lights out for 3 days to see if it goes away. 400w halide may be too much light.
