Hey all.. I am looking to start a new 20 gal Nano tank for my kids room. Being that I live in a apartment, I can't build a large aquarium with sump and all due to space limitations. Been researching a lot and joined here so I can be part of the community. So I was looking to get the most out of this little tank as possible with 3-4 fish and some softies and a few sps.
I am only getting the tank so need recommendations on lights, skimmer etc. Does anyone know if the Comline Doc Skimmer 9004 from BRS will fit inside the back of this tank ?
will I need to dose alk and cal?
Do i need a media reactor?
I spoke to someone at BRS and they said nothing was needed other than 20% water changes every 2 weeks??? with corals and sps i think you need a little more than that..no?
Being that i will not a sump, how can I need nutrients in the tank for the corals?
for lights I am not sure, the kit they sell with Skkye led lights are not enough for the sps so I will need something a little better.
I am going to do this right and use Rodi water and let tank cycle for a month, I am not going to rush it with chemicals etc.
