New Nano Member

Hello everyone, I just started a nano saltwater tank about 6 weeks ago. I have the Fluval 13.5 gallon AIO tank. I just found this forum about a week ago and I wish I would have found it earlier, I would have made some changes based on the threads and pictures I have seen from everyone. Currently I have:

1 Clownfish
1 Diamond Goby
2 snails
2 crabs
10 lbs or so of live rock

Based on the threads I have changed out the stock pump to the Sicce 1.0 (much better). I have a protein skimmer that I do not like and I just ordered the intank media basket for chamber 1. I plan to use floss in the top, chemipure blue in the middle and Marine pure bio balls in the bottom. I already have the intank basket for chamber 2 with Fluval Biomax in the top, Purigen in the middle and floss at the bottom. I plan to reorganize this once I get the new basket for chamber 1. I also have a cheap power head from the LFS for additional water movement.

Planning to get some coral in the upcoming weeks, moving slow with my additions. I think I will be upgrading to the AI Prime HD lights soon. I have seen various comments on ATO and whether this is important or not. Any recommendations on good ATO options? I travel and having something automatic would be great.

Also, any other recommendations to my set up would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, I will try to put a picture out tomorrow when I am home. Like I said after seeing the pictures on here I would have done some different aquascaping. Now I know...

welcome, don't forget to start a thread in the nano forum. I pulled my skimmer out of my 29 gal earlier this year and haven't looked back. I have a thread on pros and cons of a skimmer in a nano, some interesting insights from experienced nano reef keepers posted in it.
